With Neo-classical detailing and swivel adjustability they are very large at 26" from the top of the candles to the very bottom of the backplate. They project 23 " from the wall and are 13" wide. Once fired by gas they are now electrified with porcelain sockets. They were attached to wood paneling in the Townhouses Reading room. These Wall Gasoliers are some of the earliest gas lights that were used in the United States.
