This very early Neo-classical 3 Light chandelier was a first floor hall vestibule fixture in an 1840s Greek Revival Townhouse on lower Beacon Hill across from Boston Garden. It is made of Cast brass and is adorned with very beautiful Goddess Faces and other Serpentine elements. The Cut Glass shades have a very nice foliate design. You can see the tubes coming down along the sides of the chain. These tubes were used to supply the gas to the burners. It is now electrified with three sockets. This was one of the earliest gas fixtures used in the United States.
