The extra Gas spigot is for the attachment of a hose for a Gas table lamp that would have sat on the table. This two light Gas chandelier would make a great Kitchen Island or Kitchen Table fixture in a Kitchen put in a period home. The period 2 and 5/8 shades could work with a lot of details found in a new Kitchen. The Oil Lamp Detail in the middle of the chandelier is a design that you see quite often in these early gas fixtures that bring in the details of the previous oil period.
