Here is one of those forms created for the use of Incandescent bulbs. The fluted Teardrop Opaline shades have a very stylized effect. The Earlier Victorian period used bullet shades that were much pointier. These Bullet shades are more organic, almost Art Nouveau in detail. There were a lot of movements in design at this time and even though this is an Arts and Crafts fixture you can see other influences at work.
