This Chandelier is incised with the maker Hollins
Boston C.1870. 90% of all chandeliers were not signed
100 years ago. They were not thought of as important
enough to carry a signature. This is a rare sight piece
and for some reason this early Boston Company often
signed their pieces.
Has a telescoping pull down
Center Light that also held a Gas Flame. Milk Glass shades
were used to go with the Eastlake slant shade on
the bottom. This fixture would be called Eastlake
in the period because of its understated design.
