Available: SOLD This opalescent white and amber Slag Glass Inverted Dome is 18 inches in diameter. The detail in the stained glass is made up of 6 medallions in the midst of 138 pieces of leaded glass. There is a wonderful beaded metal band that tops off the shade at its large opening. There are 4 square rod struts that suspend the shade and are tapered at both ends as they meet the loops. There is a fluted rod in the center that goes down into a 3-light cluster with porcelain sockets. This wonderful construction goes back to the early 1900s and is of Arts and Crafts design. This would make a great light in an Arts and Crafts Foyer or Dining room.
