This is an incredible 3 Arm Gas from 1880. Larger scale than the Gas fixtures from the 1890’s. Has a wonderful aged Honey colored finish in excellent shape.
Canopy is dropped down to get the detail in the Frame for the photo. The drop is actually 42 inches and 29 inches in diameter. Dropping the canopy also shows those folks with lower ceilings how the fixture would look in 24 inches. Or even 18 inches long the fixture would look nice.
Large six sided center body with cast brass oval medallions for those folks with oval ceiling medallions. Four sided tubing. All details in the Eastlake Aesthetic Design Period.
The deep Etch shades also have spades in etched relief which is a wonderful eastlake detail. Simple compared to Rococo Revival.
